Delayta privacy policy
This policy covers the Delayta family of apps for Caltrain, VTA, BART, and SF Bay Ferry, developed by Jonathan Ng. Updated September 21, 2026.
The apps have no account, advertising, or third-party analytics SDK. Preferences, selected stations or terminals, and saved commute routes stay on your device. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Location access is optional and is used to find nearby stations or terminals and show walking directions. You can disable it in Settings. The app does not send your precise location to the Delayta transit-data service. Apple MapKit provides maps and walking directions; Apple processes requests under its own privacy policy.
For schedules, service updates, alerts, and vehicle positions, the apps contact the Delayta service hosted by Cloudflare. Service request logs may contain an IP address, approximate location inferred from that address, request URL, user-agent, timestamps, response status, and performance or diagnostic information. These logs support operation, troubleshooting, and security and may be retained for up to seven days. Transit requests do not include your saved commute or an app account identifier.
Optional one-time tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app verifies the transaction to show a confirmation. We do not receive your payment-card details.
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. Do not include sensitive information in feedback. You can remove local preferences by deleting the app and revoke location permission in iOS Settings.
